Is it really that time of year? Wow. I had forgotten that November led to December, which leads to Christmas.
TV is showing jewelry commercials that make a grown woman cry. In 46 years I have never had a piece of jewelry purchased for me by a man which was just a gift of love (dad aside). I guess I'll have to buy my own chocolate diamond! (I'll never do it, but I can pretend).
Desire for the things we cannot have at this time of year is strong. This silly "want" attitude makes me feel bad. Others have less, some have much more. Each of us has something we want. Everyone has something they need.
May the holidays bless you this year, bringing you love and laughter and happiness beyond your wildest dreams. I wish all of you the best of holidays. Cherish moments that will never come again, the people that mean something to you, and the thought that life and love is a gift we are given and one which we chose to share with others.
Life is short. Resist that Holiday Ho-Hum and treat yourself to your own version of the Chocolate Diamond.
Merry Christmas to you all!
